Welcome to the San Francisco Treasurer & Tax Collector’s Gross Receipts Tax and Payroll Expense Tax Request for Extension to File.

Please note the following:
  • The Request for Extension to File is due on or before 2/28/2018.
  • At least 90% of your Gross Receipts Tax and Payroll Expense Tax (if required) must be received or postmarked on or before 2/28/2018.
  • The tax balance owed will accrue interest at 1% per month until paid.
  • You must file and pay the balance of your 2017 Gross Receipts Tax and Payroll Expense Tax Annual Return by 4/30/2018. If you do not file your Annual Return, your Request for Extension to File will be denied.
  • If your Request for Extension to File is denied, you will be notified in writing.

Please have the following data ready:
  • Your seven (7) digit Business Account Number.
  • The last four (4) digits of your Tax Identification Number.
  • Your eight (8) character Online PIN.
  • Credit card or checking account information if submitting an electronic payment.

You must complete each section before moving to the next one.
